modify notebook's parameters on Zeppelin with read privileges?

Mariano Vicario

Hi,

On Zeppelin if you want to change the display of a report or a parameter, you must have write privileges on the notebook. But the problem is that if you give write privileges to the user, the user can modify the code of the notebook.

Is there a way just to let the user change the display and/or the parameters of the report on a notebook? without let the user change the code?

Regards,

Mariano

Hi, Mariano.

There is new permission type – Runners [1].

Runners can change dynamic forms and run note.

Runners can’t change note view.

This is what you were looking for?

[1]. http://zeppelin.apache.org/docs/0.8.0-SNAPSHOT/setup/security/notebook_authorization.html#authorization-setting

Hi Maksim,
thanks, it seems that's what I'm looking for. I was using version 0.73. Does version 0.8.0 has a approximate release date?

Mariano
